Academic Summer and CAS

The IB Diploma encourages you to be involved in artistic pursuits, sports and community service work, thus fostering your awareness and appreciation of life outside the academic arena.

The leisure programme incorporates aspects of the Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) strand of the IB Diploma. You will be encouraged to learn new skills, work as a team, aim for your Personal Best and keep a diary about your experiences during the summer.

  • Creativity includes a wide range of arts activities. At Academic Summer you will be able to participate in digital media, sculture, drama, jewellery making, calligraphy, cooking, First Aid and photography.
  • Action includes participation in individual and team sports This summer we are offering the following sports football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton, tennis, squash, archery, swimming, hiking, water polo, orienteering, canoeing, diving and trampolling.
  • Service encompasses community and social service activities. You could be involved in helping to organise a charity event to raise money or helping to organise an activitiy for our younger students at Academic Juniors.
