Academic Summer's subject options: 

If you are age 15 – 18 you will follow our IB / A Level programme. This is good if you want to prepare for the IB Diploma or A Levels or you are in year 13 and you want to revise a particular subject for your final examinations. If you are an international student you should have at least a B2 level of English on the Common European Framework.

If you are age 15 – 18 you will have a choice of the following subjects and will choose 4 subjects a week. You will make your choices on our application form.
 
Art and Art History
The Art curriculum traces the development of art from cave paintings to graffiti. From a practical point of view, you will experiment with a range of media and materials. You will explore a variety of cultures and their attitude to Art. Both London and Bristol offer opportunities for Art students.

English Options
Whether you are a native or non-native speaker, there is an English option for you. You will be able to choose from: IELTS Preparation and Exam Preparation for Cambridge exams such as FCE and CAE, English Grammar, English Literature, World Literature, Essay Writing or Presentation Skills.
 
Humanities
The Humanities curriculum makes the most of the international nature of the student body and encourages you to explore subjects in the context of the locality. You will be able to choose from subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Politics, Media Studies, Drama and Psychology.
 
Mathematics
The Mathematics option covers algebra, geometry and statistics and is good preparation for the IB Diploma or A-Levels. Students from different learning backgrounds will work together to help one another understand challenging mathematical concepts and functions.
 
Maths Studies
For those who do not like Mathematics or are not good at it; Maths Studies will help you with some basic everyday Maths.
 
Sciences
We offer Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Lessons involve a mixture of theory and practice. You will use fully-equipped science laboratories and be able to do practical experiments such as dissections.
 
Theory of Knowledge (ToK)
You will explore the central question, How do we know what we know? in a variety of ways and with reference to the acquisition of knowledge in a wide range of educational and cultural settings. You will learn to appreciate your own and others’ knowledge gained through language, reason, emotion and sense perception.
