Academic Summer at DLD London from 2016
We are very pleased to announce our new and exciting location from the summer of 2016. Academic Summer will be located at DLD’s new building on Westminster Bridge, London. DLD’s new college overlooks Westminster and the River Thames so you cannot get a more central London location. Rubbing shoulders with some of the most prestigious and historical buildings in London, this is DLD’s new neighbourhood from September 2015. In fact the new college will be at the foot of Westminster Bridge, right next door to the Houses of Parliament.
The new building has modern classrooms, sports facilities, dining room, Starbucks and boarding accommodation all in one building. The bedrooms are single ensuite rooms.
We will be running our popular academic programme there in the summer. The subjects offered will include the following subjects: English, Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Psychology, Economics, Business, Media Studies, Art, Music, ICT, Theory of Knowledge, Presentation Skills and Essay Writing Skills.
We will be using all of DLD’s modern classroom facilities. We are planning an exciting leisure programme which will include visits to London’s top attractions such as the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Westminster, National Gallery, Tower of London, London Museums, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and Madame Tussauds. Students will also enjoy the shopping in Covent Gardens, Oxford Street and of Harrods as well as enjoying a West End Show. Students will also get to visit key UK cities outside London at the weekends such Oxford, Cambridge and Canterbury.
Academic Summer ensure that students are looked after 24 hours a day, from arrival at the airport, to when they check in for their flight at the end. They are cared for in a secure and supportive environment where pastoral, academic and social needs are met by qualified and experienced staff. This will continue in our new London location.
Our new brochure with our dates and fees will be published in September 2015.
