Academic Summer are offering a challenging academic experience this summer…
As normal, we are offering a good range of subjects this summer at our different locations. Students study in English following a CLIL (Content Language and Integrated Learning) approach so they make progress in their English as the same time as enjoying the subjects they love the most. The subjects we are offering are: Art, biology, business, chemistry, design and technology, drama, economics, English, essay writing, geography, grammar, history, ICT, IELTS, literature, maths, media, physics, politics, presentations, psychology and theory of knowledge. Our timetables are now written around our students’ choices so please contact us for more details of which subjects are offered each week. Our teachers are all recruited and they are preparing challenging and interesting lessons for our students that include a mixture of practical and theory.
We also have an action packed leisure and trips programme planned for this summer. This year’s trips include visits to castles, safari parks, museums, leisure parks and well-known cities including London, Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol, Liverpool, Chester, Cardiff, Exeter, York, Brighton, Bournemouth, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick and Bath. You will do your activities in mixed nationality groups so you will use your English socially and you will have the chance of making many new friends from different countries. You will be encouraged to learn new skills, work in a team and aim for your Personal Best.
We have made the following changes to the leisure programme at Sidcot from the published one in our brochure: Tuesday 4th August we are going to Berkeley Castle. Our London trips will be a City Cruise on the Thames plus Covent Gardens on the 25th July; London Eye and Harrods on the 8th August and the Houses of Parliament and Oxford Street on the 22nd August.
For Liverpool students due to Anfield Football Stadium offering limited tours due to building work they are doing then we have booked a visit to Manchester United instead.
Academic Summer runs from 27th June to 29th August 2015 and students can join us for one to nine weeks.
